New character revealed: The Queen

Today we received an email from Monaka with some silhouettes for a new character: The Queen.

We don’t want to reveal too much of her identity at this point, but we can say that she is like a reflection of the Mad Queen. If the Mad Queen is the embodiment of evil, then this queen is the embodiment of good and fairness.

Usually when we create a new character, we draw silhouettes like this first to decide on the right shape; we then draw more detailed concept afterward. We would love to know your favorites in the comments!

Ah and also, don’t miss out on our Kickstarter campaign in case you didn’t know.

Peace!

The Rules:

You do not have to be a Kickstarter backer to participate in the art contest, so spread the word to your talented friends!

The theme of the contest is anything related to The Girl and The Robot. It can be serious, funny, abstract, anything! For character references, you can check out Peet’s posts here and there.

The contest runs until Monday November 18th at midnight. Late entries unfortunately will not be eligible for judging or prizes.

All entries must be submitted in digital format (images, photos and scans are okay), with a resolution of 1080 x 720 pixels in PNG or JPG format.

Please send your entries and questions to girlandrobotartcontest@gmail.com.
Mariko, a friend of our project, will manage the contest and will be answering your questions if you have any. In your email, please include:

  • Your name or artist’s name
  • A link to your personal website (if you have one)
  • Your image attached (hey, people forget sometimes)

The winners will be announced on our blog and in a backer’s update soon after the deadline.

Good luck and we look forward to see your masterpieces!
